I just checked the board, and there are few posted. I thought that this subject would make a rise out of you all out there! The negative effects of media exploitation of women and their bodies! I feel, that that is the root of this problem. The media has a huge effect on society and how they view different aspects, body image is definatly one of them! You are constantly bombarded by images of women, who are far from real women in this world. Most of us do not have the time to spend all day in the gym, have the money for plastic surgery or "perky" all the day long! These are unrealistic expectations and personally, development of our deeds and our knowledge should be the center of attention, but somehow taking my degree to the beach just would not work!
So, how many of you out there in internet land are sick and tired of being bombarded by these images in commercials (ie Victorias Secret and Bally Health Clubs, plus many many more...)or television programs, (ie Son of the Beach, Baywatch or many other ones.....)?If you are watching these shows with your husband after a long day at work, somehow do you feel invisible? Especially if you are not homosexual! Dont you feel that this invades an area that is yours? By that I mean, that that is YOUR husband and this area should be yours and not Pamela Andersons? Take her butt home to HER husband and leave MINE to me! Hey, one day, some new bimbo will be entertaining her husband when she is 40! hahahaha wont that be a switch!!!! See how she likes it!
