Thanks for the encouragement.
I recently bought a really nice exercise bike. I have only used it once, though. It's something that I want to make a daily routine. I do agree that it will really help not only my body, but my mind. My husband, who is thin, exercises daily and says it really helps him with energy and mood.
I do pretty much live in my head. I think your advice is good. One thing I struggle with is that I am angry with myself and my body right now. I'm angry that my body is not how I want it to be, even though I know I am responsible for that. I'm not looking to be some ideal; I just want to be comfortable in my own skin. I want to be able to move freely and go on long walks without having my feet feel like they want to fall off!
I like your idea about doing things to get in touch with my body. I'll be working on that this week.
