One of the worst things you can do as a teen is to diet. You can't starve yourself, hon. Believe me, I've been there, done that. The reality is that if I hadn't dieted so much as a teen/early 20-something, I'd probably be a very happy size 12-14 instead of a size 28. :(

Eat what is healthy. Eat when you are hungry, not bored or lonely, or lacking other things to do. Make what you eat count. Find ways to exercise doing what you like. I did volleyball, soccer, and even a couple of years of gymnastics. Yes, I was embarrased to be seen in a leotard, but you know what... now (at 33) I couldn't tell you what any of us looked like back then. It's a small consolation, I know. But do the things you enjoy... if it's skating, skate. If it's biking, bike. Find clothing that _you_ look good in, and then go out there and do it to it!! Don't let anyone stop you!!

Your happiness lays in your attitude about yourself. A lot of my friends forget I am "fat" because it's not the center of my life anymore. Many of your friends will to, when you let your inner beauty - that spark that makes you You - shine through.
