Forum #11:

Rethinking Resolutions

Trying to break the resolution habit? January is the month we all get blasted with the weight loss industry's full court press.  Read our tips for making anti-resolutions, and then share yours with us. We'll post a selection of your replies, so check back in a few days. And don't forget to check out what the gals in 1890 had to worry about for New Year's . . .

Reader Comments:

I gave up making New Year's Resolutions long ago. The "the Holidays are over - now I'll lose weight" never manifested. If I did manage to lose a few pounds, however, I eventually decided to "treat" myself and it would turn into a chocolate binge.
The only reason I have for losing weight is because I have diabetes. I don't go on "diets" but I am careful about how much I eat. As long as I follow "the food pyramid", I can treat myself occasionally without feeling the need to binge.

My goal sometime this year is to find a HEALTHY relationship with food...end the cycle of yo-yo dieting for good!
